Replacing Missing Teeth

Bridge and implant Spear educational video

There can be several options to replace a missing tooth or teeth depending on the location in the mouth. The gold standard for tooth replacement is a dental implant, think of this as a prosthetic tooth root that sits within the jaw bone. An implant is restored with an abutment and a crown that look and function like natural teeth. A bridge is an alternative method of tooth replacement. Here, adjacent healthy teeth are capped and used to support a fake tooth. Bridges are cemented in place. The final option for tooth replacement is a removable appliance. This option also relies on the adjacent healthy teeth for support but is taken out at night and after meals to clean and give your tooth and gums a rest.

  • Best dentist I have ever been to! I just moved to Buffalo and I have never been to this dentist before. I called them with an emergency painful tooth. Without question they got me in right away, made sure that my insurance covered the visit for me. Diagnosed the problem and were able to take care of the problem all in the same day. My out of pocket was the cheapest I have ever had at the dentist! The staff and everyone there was extremely courteous and very friendly.
